Fees

Consultations, Contingency Fees, and Payment

Consultations. Consultations on personal injury matters are free. I'll hear what happened, tell you whether you have a case, and tell you what it needs. For matters outside personal injury, a consultation fee may apply, and it is discussed with you in advance, never after.

Contingency fee. Injury cases are handled on contingency. The fee is 33–40% of the recovery, depending on the complexity of the case and the stage at which it resolves. You pay nothing up front, and you owe no attorney fee unless we recover compensation for you. The exact percentage and how case costs are handled are set out in writing in your engagement agreement before any work begins.

Payment methods. Where a payment is due, the firm accepts Zelle, ACH transfer, debit and credit cards, Venmo, cash, and checks.

Engagement

When Representation Begins

Representation begins only when Andrade Law and the client have both signed a written engagement agreement. Calling, emailing, submitting a form, or meeting for a consultation does not create an attorney-client relationship, and until an agreement is signed the firm has not agreed to protect any deadline in your matter. If your case is time-sensitive, say so in the first call.

Communication

Who You Work With

Every client works directly with me. There is no handoff to a case manager. The attorney who signed your engagement agreement reads your medical records, returns your calls, and negotiates with the insurer. Staff support the file; they don't replace the attorney.

Response times vary with court schedules and active cases. If you leave a message, include your name, a callback number, and a short description of what you need, and the call is returned.

Language Access

English and Spanish, Directly

I handle matters in English and Spanish myself, from intake through settlement, so nothing is lost between you and your attorney. For any other language, the firm arranges interpreter assistance for client communications for the meetings and documents that matter to your case. Interpreter costs are covered by the firm unless we agree otherwise with you in advance.

Confidentiality

What You Tell Us Stays Here

Everything a client shares with the firm, and everything in the client's file, is confidential. That obligation covers the attorney and every person who works for the firm, who are bound by the same rules of professional conduct. The firm does not discuss client matters with the press, and it does not publish client results.

Hours and Visits

Availability, Appointments, and Holidays

Hours. The firm is listed as open 24 hours because calls and online intake are answered around the clock. In-person meetings are by appointment. Walk-ins are accommodated when availability allows, but an appointment is the only way to guarantee a time.

Holidays. The firm closes on Christmas Day only. It stays open on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and other major holidays. Confirm ahead for a holiday visit.

Urgent matters. Call (651) 800-1313 and leave a detailed message with your name, a callback number, and what is time-sensitive. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.

Accessibility

Getting to the Offices

The Saint Paul office at 1327 County Rd D Cir has a wheelchair-accessible entrance, wheelchair-accessible parking, and a restroom on site. Clients can use the free parking lot or street parking. Metro Transit bus service stops a five-to-seven-minute walk from the door. If you need an accommodation for a meeting at any office, ask when you schedule and it will be arranged. The Maplewood, Little Canada, and Minneapolis offices also have step-free entry and accessible parking options.
