St. Paul Police HQ Crash Report Request Guide
Saint Paul Police Department Headquarters is the department's main facility and public records counter on Grove Street. The Records Unit inside releases police reports and crash reports — in person on weekdays or through an online portal. If your injury case starts with a Saint Paul crash, the official record of it starts here.

The Building
What Happens at Headquarters
Headquarters sits at 367 Grove Street, Saint Paul, MN 55101, operated by the City of Saint Paul. It is a working police facility, but for injured people the part that matters is the Records Unit — the public counter that releases police reports, crash reports, and other department records.
The counter serves the public during weekday business hours. Published hours conflict from source to source, so call 651-266-5700 to confirm before you make the trip.
Records Unit
Requesting Your Crash Report
Minnesota does not release crash reports to just anyone. The MN State Accident Report for a crash is released to the people involved, their legal representatives, injured persons, and insurers. If that list includes you, you have two paths.
In person, the Records Unit takes requests on weekdays at the Grove Street counter. Online, the department runs a records portal that requires only an email address to submit a request. Either way, copies cost $0.25 per page.
Notice that the release list includes your legal representative. Once you retain me, requesting and reviewing the report becomes my job, not yours.
Your Claim
Why the Crash Report Matters for Your Claim
The MN State Accident Report is the document that records an injury crash. Insurers are on the same release list and obtain the same document — so you should know what it says before anyone asks you to explain the crash.
Reading that report early is part of how I build motor vehicle crash claims. It grounds every later conversation in the official record instead of memory.
Getting There
Where It Is on Grove Street
The address is 367 Grove Street, in Saint Paul's Railroad Island and Lafayette Park area. Headquarters sits 0.29 miles east of Regions Hospital and 0.89 miles northeast of the Ramsey County Courthouse — many injury clients deal with all three buildings within the same few weeks.
Don't confuse it with the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center at 425 Grove Street, 0.2 miles away on the same street. That is a county facility — the Records Unit here releases Saint Paul Police Department records.
If your case moves toward a hearing, my parking and check-in guide for the Ramsey County Courthouse covers that building. For the rest of the map — hospitals, the impound lot, and other places a Saint Paul injury runs through — start with the firm's points-of-interest guides.
